Some people play golf. I do standup.

Standup is a fun and serious hobby for me. I enjoy trying to be good at something hard with the constraint that it always comes second to my work. That should be impossible.

It started when I read an article about putting yourself in difficult situations on purpose. I booked myself onto an improv residential never having done it before. That led to standup.

It also turns out to be useful. Standup sharpens timing, messaging, body language and reading a room. That helps when I’m advising founders on how they pitch.
