Marc Cohen

Hi, I'm Marc Cohen. I live in Guernsey with my wife Jasmine and our four kids.

I read Maths at Trinity College, Cambridge, and later studied AI at Sussex under one of Geoffrey Hinton's mentors.

Twenty or so years ago, with a friend, I built the world's best poker AI on a £2,000 home PC, before DeepMind existed. Even then it was competitive with or better than the world's best human players. Then we built a successful AI trading system. Both were agentic.

I was partner and co-owner at 1818 Venture Capital. I left to do it better. I did it better. 15 investments later, my track record is 2.86x and 46% IRR, including Runna's exit to Strava.

Then I raised and first-closed my own fund. Before making an investment, I am returning the capital to LPs and winding the fund down. I'm not investing right now.
